The lawsuit alleges that Apple’s actions amount to copyright infringement and were done in an attempt to keep up with competitors.
The complaint was filed by one author against Apple in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. The lawsuit also involves Meta Platforms Inc., formerly known as Facebook.
The plaintiff’s legal team, Cotchett Pitre, is representing the author in this class action lawsuit, which falls under the categories of intellectual property, corporate, and media & entertainment law.
