Sanaz is an international lawyer, adviser, mentor, and trainer with over 22 years of experience in international trade, intellectual property, and women and youth economic empowerment across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Americas, and Asia.
She represents the UKIPO as IP Attaché for the MENA region and Pakistan, based at the British Embassy in Dubai, working closely with the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, the Department for Business and Trade, and the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology.
Prior to this role, Sanaz worked with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva, Switzerland, where she contributed to global IP and trade initiatives. She has consulted on United Nations projects and collaborated with leading organizations including the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property, International Trade Center, European Union, WTO, UN Women, and the World Bank.
Sanaz holds advanced academic qualifications in Intellectual Property and International Business Law, pursuing her Master’s and PhD studies in Switzerland. She has worked extensively with NGOs, governments, academia, and the private sector in developing and least-developed countries, delivering capacity-building programs and policy support.
A passionate advocate for mentorship, Sanaz has guided over 150 individuals, businesses, and institutions on IP and business strategy since 2018. She is also a TEDx speaker and recipient of multiple Women and Youth Leadership Awards from European institutions since 2021.
