Lawrence J. Udell

Larry Udell serves as Founder//Chairman of the California Invention Center (1995) and Intellectual Property International LLC (1998). He has created and taught “New Ventures and Entrepreneurship” courses for over 35 years, plus a special course on, “Technology Marketing” at the Cal State Hayward, School of Business and Economics.

Udell has served as a Lecturing Professor at UC Berkeley teaching a course on Technology Transfer & Commercialization, plus other universities in the US and Canada. His lectures also focus on Entrepreneurship in America. He is an active member of the Licensing Executives Society since 1982 and is the founder and Chairman Emeritus of the Silicon Valley Chapter of LES. He also serves as Senior Consultant to General Patent Corporation and Vice President of American Innovators for Patent Reform.

Founder or co-founder of over 40 corporations, Udell provides consulting to both start-ups and Fortune 500 companies. He frequently lectures at inventor, corporate, and government functions throughout America and for the USPTO. He also lectures in other countries for the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) division of the United Nations.
