Dr. Kieran Williams is a Principal at Shelston IP, one of Australia’s largest IP Firms, practicing in the fields of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, life sciences, and plant breeder’s rights. He has extensive experience in drafting patent specifications, filing and prosecuting Australian and foreign patent applications, obtaining pharmaceutical patent term extensions, providing patent validity, infringement, and FTO opinions, and conducting patent oppositions before the Australian Patent Office.
Kieran is passionate about biotechnology and pharmaceutical inventions and has a wealth of experience in obtaining patent protection and maximizing marketing opportunities. He is responsible for the patent portfolios of several listed Australian biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, providing advice on global patenting strategies. Kieran also works closely with many Australian universities, institutes and start-ups.
