Head of the patent & TM portfolio development and management, responsible for the strategic development of TiVo’s worldwide content discovery patent portfolio, with emphasis on generating high-quality patents for licensing. Responsibilities include managing a team of attorneys/agents/staff, managing the US and foreign counsels, managing prosecution budget, providing strategic patent and legal advice to business, R&D, licensing, and litigation teams and assist upper management with posturing company for market competitiveness through strategic patent coverage.
