David Wanetick developed the Certified Patent Valuation Analyst designation. The CPVA program has been run in dozens of cities in North America, Europe, and Asia for nearly ten years.

David has valued thousands of patents, mostly in the context of transactions such as patent sales, licensing agreements, capital raises, and the sales of companies. He is the CEO of IncreMental Advantage whose clients include Fortune 100 companies, mid-sized companies, start-ups, university technology transfer offices, national laboratories, venture capital firms, and private equity investors.

David has published seven books. The most recent titles include Plight of the Patentee: The Case for Restoring Investors’ Rights; Solution Nation: One Nation is Disproportionately Responding to the World’s Most Intractable Problems.
