Broadfield has announced the addition of two partners to its London office, marking a significant expansion of the firm’s private wealth and intellectual property (IP) practices as part of its growing international platform.
Sarah Sarwar joins Broadfield’s Private Wealth team, bringing extensive experience advising high-net-worth individuals, internationally mobile families, trustees, and family offices. Her practice focuses on estate planning, succession structures, wealth preservation, and complex cross-border tax matters. Sarwar also handles trust governance, probate, and estate administration involving international assets and beneficiaries.
Concurrently, Ash von Schwan has joined Broadfield’s Commercial team, specializing in intellectual property and technology transactions. He advises clients on technology and brand licensing, trade secrets, strategic collaborations, and IP considerations in corporate transactions. Von Schwan’s industry experience spans consumer goods, luxury, healthcare, life sciences, software, energy, and infrastructure sectors.
Broadfield emphasized that these appointments enhance the firm’s capacity to support clients with complex private wealth issues and high-value technology and IP transactions. The firm’s partner-led approach prioritizes execution and modern service delivery tailored to business outcomes.
In addition to expanding its legal teams, Broadfield continues to invest in secure, AI-enabled workflows and technology infrastructure. These investments aim to improve collaboration and consistency across its global offices. The firm collaborates with SHP Legal Services, a subsidiary of LSS Strategic Partners under A&M Inc., to bolster operational and technology initiatives and provide access to broader professional services when needed.
A Broadfield spokesperson stated, “Clients want senior, commercially minded counsel that can move quickly across the issues that matter most: protecting value, executing transactions, and managing risk. Sarah and Ash bring experience that strengthens our London platform and reflects how we are building Broadfield: partner-led, highly coordinated, and designed for business outcomes at rational pricing.”
The spokesperson added, “IP and technology issues now sit at the center of most strategic transactions and growth plans. Broadfield is building something genuinely modern: a platform that takes delivery seriously and invests in the tools and processes that help clients execute efficiently while protecting what makes their business valuable.”
Sarah Sarwar commented on her move, saying, “Broadfield’s focus on coordinated advice and disciplined execution strongly aligns with how my clients operate across borders. I am excited to join a team that prioritises clarity, practicality, and long-term stewardship for families and trustees managing complex international assets.”
