Can-Fite BioPharma Ltd. (NYSE American: CANF) (TASE: CANF), an Israeli biotechnology firm specializing in proprietary small-molecule drugs for oncological and inflammatory diseases, confirmed its attendance at BIO-Europe 2026. The event will be held from November 9 to 11 in Cologne, Germany, with additional digital partnering sessions scheduled for November 17 and 18.
Dr. Sari Fishman, Vice President of Business Development at Can-Fite, will represent the company, focusing on exploring licensing agreements, co-development collaborations, commercialization partnerships, and other strategic transactions. These efforts aim to unlock the commercial potential of Can-Fite’s advanced clinical pipeline.
The company arrives at BIO-Europe following a series of significant clinical and intellectual property developments that have strengthened its portfolio and broadened partnering prospects across multiple therapeutic areas.
Key clinical highlights include the final positive Phase IIa results for Namodenoson in pancreatic cancer, presented at ESMO 2026. These results demonstrated a favorable safety profile and encouraging exploratory survival outcomes in heavily pretreated patients, supporting further clinical development.
In liver cancer, Can-Fite is conducting a pivotal Phase III study of Namodenoson in advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The study has observed longer-than-anticipated blinded overall survival across the population, with an interim analysis planned.
The company’s Piclidenoson candidate is undergoing a pivotal Phase III program for psoriasis, which has reached its prespecified interim analysis stage. Results from this analysis are expected in the first quarter of 2027.
Additionally, Namodenoson is in a Phase IIb clinical trial targeting metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), addressing a significant global market opportunity.
Can-Fite is also advancing Piclidenoson in a rare disease program for Lowe syndrome, supported by a collaboration with Fondazione Telethon. This program was recently bolstered by a Eurasian patent allowance covering Lowe syndrome and Dent disease 2.
To date, Can-Fite has secured multiple regional licensing agreements, generating approximately $20 million in upfront and milestone payments, with potential for further milestones and royalties. The company intends to build on this commercial foundation by pursuing additional regional and broader strategic partnerships.
"BIO-Europe provides an important opportunity to translate our recent clinical and intellectual property progress into strategic business discussions," said Dr. Fishman. "With two pivotal Phase III programs, encouraging new clinical data in pancreatic cancer, and an expanding portfolio of development and commercialization opportunities, we believe Can-Fite offers potential partners access to differentiated clinical-stage assets across several major therapeutic markets. Our objective is to pursue licensing and strategic collaborations that can accelerate development, expand global commercialization opportunities, and create long-term value for our shareholders."
BIO-Europe is recognized as one of the biopharmaceutical industry’s leading international partnering events, attracting pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology developers, investors, and business development executives worldwide.
Dr. Fishman will be available for partnering discussions throughout the conference.
