Creative Medical Technology Files New U.S. Provisional Patent to Broaden Ultrasome Regenerative Medicine IP

Creative Medical Technology Holdings, Inc. has taken a significant step to expand its intellectual property portfolio by filing a new U.S. provisional patent application related to Ultrasome?, its proprietary cell-free regenerative medicine platform. This latest filing builds on the company’s existing regenerative medicine IP and seeks protection across multiple dimensions of the Ultrasome platform, including proprietary product composition, biological potency, manufacturing and quality-control methodologies, stability characteristics, delivery approaches, and therapeutic applications.

The company’s management views this filing as a strategic effort to bolster its long-term IP position as Ultrasome progresses beyond its initial focus on osteoarthritis and explores potential applications in other areas of regenerative medicine.

Creative Medical’s development approach for Ultrasome integrates both physical product characterization and biologically relevant functional testing. These methods are designed to evaluate the platform’s activity related to tissue protection and regenerative signaling. The new provisional patent application specifically targets intellectual property protection for methods that characterize the biological activity and consistency of the manufactured product.

Management believes that combining product composition, functional potency, and manufacturing control could provide important differentiation in the evolving field of extracellular-vesicle and secretome-based therapeutics.

Additionally, the patent application includes claims directed toward methods for assessing changes in the product’s biological activity that may not be detectable through particle measurements alone.

This new patent filing follows Creative Medical’s previously announced pilot study evaluating Ultrasome in patients with knee osteoarthritis. As reported in April 2026, approximately 93% of study participants experienced clinically meaningful improvements in mobility and pain, with no serious adverse events observed.

While osteoarthritis remains a key initial indication for Ultrasome, the company is actively investigating the platform’s broader potential across regenerative medicine. The provisional patent filing is designed to preserve development flexibility for musculoskeletal and cartilage disorders as well as selected clinical applications. However, these additional applications are still in various stages of research and development and should not be interpreted as evidence of clinical efficacy or regulatory approval.
