Datavault AI Names Dean Becker as Chief Licensing Officer to Drive IP Monetization

Datavault AI Inc. (NASDAQ:DVLT), a Philadelphia-based provider of data monetization, credentialing, digital engagement, and real-world asset tokenization technologies, announced the immediate appointment of Dean Becker as Chief Licensing Officer. Becker will assume executive responsibility for licensing, valuation, and monetization of the company’s patented intellectual property portfolio.

Dean Becker is recognized as a pioneer in the modern intellectual property marketplace, having completed over $11 billion in IP transactions during a career spanning more than 30 years. He founded the Ocean Tomo patent auction business, which he later sold to ICAP plc, a FTSE 100 company and the world’s largest inter-dealer broker at the time. Becker subsequently served as CEO of ICAP Ocean Tomo Auctions, ICAP Patent Brokerage, ICAP IP, and ICAP Media for a decade. Under his leadership, ICAP Patent Brokerage became the world’s largest IP brokerage and patent auction firm, closing landmark deals across sectors including cloud computing, social networking, smart cards, and consumer electronics.

Earlier in his career, Becker founded 422 Inc., a wireless directory assistance service, and served as Chairman and CEO of eWireless, a patent-based abbreviated dial service operating across major wireless carriers. He also led Becker Beeper until its acquisition by Arch Telecommunications and has held the position of Vice Chairman at the ROKiT Group. His background includes principal roles in venture capital and private equity transactions focused on telecommunications.

"Datavault AI is exactly the kind of company the intellectual property market was built for: a true technology licensing business with foundational patents across data science and acoustics," said Becker. "I have spent my career proving that intangible assets can be valued, traded, and monetized at scale, and I look forward to putting that experience to work building durable licensing revenue for Datavault AI and its shareholders."

In his role as Chief Licensing Officer, Becker will lead licensing, enforcement strategy, and IP-driven revenue initiatives across Datavault AI’s two divisions. In the Data Science Division, his responsibilities include the Information Data Exchange® (IDE), DataScore® and DataValue® agents, and real-world asset (RWA) tokenization technologies. In the Acoustic Science Division, he will oversee licensing of WiSA®, ADIO®, and Sumerian® patented technologies, which cover spatial and multichannel wireless high-definition sound transmission, audio timing, synchronization, and data-over-sound applications.

Nathaniel T. Bradley, CEO of Datavault AI, commented, "Dean is one of the most accomplished dealmakers in the history of the intellectual property marketplace, and there is no one better suited to lead licensing at a technology licensing company. Datavault AI owns patented platforms that define how data is valued, tokenized, and monetized, and Dean’s arrival puts the industry’s leading patent broker at the center of that strategy. His record of building entirely new markets for intangible assets aligns directly with our mission of unlocking the value of data and intellectual property for our customers and shareholders."

This appointment reinforces Datavault AI’s identity as a technology licensing company with patented, secure platforms designed to redefine data management, valuation, and monetization. Becker will collaborate with the executive team to expand licensing programs, structure new IP transactions, and extend the company’s patent portfolio into additional industries and geographies.

Datavault AI’s Acoustic Sciences division features patented technologies including WiSA®, ADIO®, and Sumerian®, which provide foundational spatial and multichannel wireless high-definition sound transmission capabilities. The Data Science division leverages Web 3.0 and high-performance computing to deliver solutions for experiential data perception, valuation, and secure monetization.

The company’s platform serves diverse industries such as sports and entertainment, events and venues, biotech, education, fintech, real estate, healthcare, and energy. Its Information Data Exchange® enables Digital Twins and licensing of name, image, and likeness by securely linking physical real-world objects to immutable metadata, promoting responsible AI with integrity. Datavault AI’s technology suite offers AI- and machine-learning-based automation, third-party integration, detailed analytics, marketing automation, and advertising monitoring.

Headquartered in Philadelphia, Datavault AI continues to lead in AI-driven data experiences, asset valuation, and monetization within the Web 3.0 environment. For more information, visit https://dvlt.ai.
