Jesús García-Moncada, Rodrigo García-Moncada, and Mario Facio Salazar collectively bring more than 65 years of legal experience to the firm.

This strategic growth builds on FisherBroyles’ initial Latin American expansion in February, when it established two offices in Mexico City and Monterrey staffed by seven attorneys. Including its London office, FisherBroyles now operates across 29 global markets.

Jesús García-Moncada brings 24 years of expertise focused on intellectual property (IP) rights protection and enforcement, IP asset management, and portfolio development for both Mexican and international clients. His practice spans strategic portfolio development, copyright, patent and trademark counseling, technology licensing, IP due diligence in mergers and acquisitions, and IP litigation support.

He advises a diverse client base including authors, inventors, corporations, entrepreneurs, research institutions, and universities. His broader legal counsel covers compliance, cybersecurity risk, franchising, health and pharmacy law, internet and e-commerce, media and communications law, privacy and data security, trade secrets, and restrictive covenants.

Notably, Jesús co-founded law+dgtal, Mexico’s first cloud-based nontraditional law firm, and previously served as in-house counsel and head of the IP legal office at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.

Joining as a corporate M&A, governance, compliance, and transactional attorney, Rodrigo García-Moncada offers over 21 years of experience with international law firms including Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle, Baker McKenzie, and DLA Piper. He has acted as general counsel to international clients, advising on corporate, commercial, regulatory, and governance matters.

Rodrigo’s expertise includes drafting and negotiating commercial agreements with international implications, representing private equity funds in acquisitions and dispositions, and guiding global companies through corporate reorganizations and M&A projects. He also assists clients in establishing and operating companies in Mexico, developing compliance programs, conducting due diligence, providing anti-corruption advice, and managing compliance investigations.

Mario Facio Salazar is recognized as one of Mexico’s leading environmental lawyers, with over 20 years of experience representing clients in the automotive, manufacturing, chemical, and oil sectors before regulatory bodies such as the Federal Bureau for Environmental Protection (PROFEPA), National Water Commission (CONAGUA), and the Federal Agency for Safety and Environmental Protection of the Hydrocarbon Industry (ASEA).

His practice includes advising clients on public bidding processes for oil and gas exploration, wind farm development, and transactions involving industrial facilities and carbon credits. Facio Salazar’s expertise also extends to commercial transactions, energy and oil and gas law, environmental health and safety, real estate, regulatory law, and government contracts.
