Francorp Enhances Intellectual Property Services via Strategic Alliance with Destek Patent

Francorp, a Dubai-based boutique firm specializing in franchising, has announced a strategic partnership with Destek Patent to enhance its intellectual property management offerings. This collaboration is designed to provide Francorp’s clients with comprehensive legal protections for their intellectual property as they develop and expand franchise agreements.

Since its founding in 1976, Francorp has facilitated franchise agreements for over 16,000 entrepreneurs and well-known brands, assisting both parties in entering new markets through franchising. The company supports the entire franchise agreement lifecycle, including strategy formulation, franchising system development, deal closure, and operational optimization.

Imad Charaf Eddine, Chairman and CEO of Francorp, emphasized the critical role of intellectual property security within franchise systems. He stated, “At Francorp, we understand the importance of securing intellectual property in a franchise system. Teaming up with Destek allows us to offer our clients comprehensive protection, ensuring that their brands and innovations are fully secured in a rapidly growing market.”

The partnership will leverage Destek Patent’s extensive legal expertise. Based in Turkey, Destek Patent has over 40 years of experience in intellectual property and rights management. The firm is recognized as a leading player in the Middle East IP sector, employing more than 200 staff members, including 50 attorneys, who handle all facets of intellectual property protection daily.

Charaf Eddine further explained, “Our joint offering will ensure that trademarks, patents, and other intellectual property (IP) assets are safeguarded throughout the franchising process. Ultimately, this collaboration is expected to provide a more streamlined and effective way for companies to protect their intellectual property as they expand their franchise operations.”

He added, “Our aim is to ensure that both brands and entrepreneurs can do business while enjoying greater security and innovation.”

Faruk Yamankaradeniz, Chairman of Destek Patent, expressed enthusiasm about expanding into the franchising sector through this partnership. “We are eager to work alongside Francorp to offer tailored intellectual property solutions that can protect franchisees and franchisors alike,” he said.

This alliance marks a significant step in integrating legal IP protections into franchising services in the Middle East, providing clients with enhanced security as they grow their businesses through franchising models.
