Gyeongbuk Western Intellectual Property Center to Offer Free Patent Attorney Consultations in June

The Gyeongbuk Chamber of Commerce and Industry, led by Chairman Yoon Jaeho, announced that the Gyeongbuk Western Intellectual Property Center will hold its June Regional Circuit Counseling Service by Public Patent Attorneys on Wednesday, June 17. The event will begin at 2:00 PM and take place at the Gumi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, located on the 4th floor of the Gyeongbuk Western Intellectual Property Center.

This counseling service is designed to assist local residents who face difficulties accessing professional patent attorney services. It is part of a collaborative project under a business agreement between the Public Patent Attorney Counseling Center and the Regional Intellectual Property Center (RIPC). The program aims to bridge the intellectual property (IP) gap by enabling residents in underserved areas to consult with patent attorneys at their nearest regional center.

The counseling sessions provide tailored, one-on-one consulting to help participants with the creation and protection of intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks, and designs. The initiative targets local small business owners, prospective entrepreneurs, and other residents who may struggle with IP-related challenges.

During the first counseling session held in March, the Gyeongbuk Western Center offered in-depth consultations to local small business owners and entrepreneurs. The patent attorneys provided practical solutions, including strategies for securing IP rights for innovative ideas and guidance on responding to disputes. The positive reception to this initial session highlighted the community’s need for such services.

The upcoming June counseling will focus on reviewing the possibility of registering ideas and addressing current intellectual property issues, such as trademark similarities. Patent attorneys will offer practical countermeasures and supplementary solutions tailored to individual concerns.

Appointments are required to participate in the counseling sessions. Any local resident, including prospective entrepreneurs and small business owners, is eligible to apply free of charge. Interested individuals can make applications and inquiries by phone through the Gyeongbuk Western Intellectual Property Center.

This initiative reflects ongoing efforts to support regional innovation and economic development by providing accessible IP expertise. By facilitating direct access to patent attorneys, the program helps mitigate barriers that often hinder small businesses and inventors from protecting their intellectual property effectively.

The Gyeongbuk Western Intellectual Property Center’s location within the Gumi Chamber of Commerce and Industry provides a convenient venue for these services, reinforcing the center’s role as a regional hub for IP support.

For further information or to schedule a consultation, local residents are encouraged to contact the Gyeongbuk Western Intellectual Property Center directly.

This counseling service exemplifies a proactive approach to fostering intellectual property awareness and protection in regions where such resources are limited, thereby contributing to broader innovation and entrepreneurship goals within Gyeongbuk Province.
