HarbourView Equity Partners, a multi-strategy investment firm specializing in music, sports, media, and entertainment, is returning to the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity with an expanded three-day programme. Scheduled from June 23 to 25, 2024, the initiative will explore the dynamic interplay between culture, capital, and storytelling under the theme "Stewardship: In Motion."
The programme is designed to foster connections among brands, marketers, creators, and industry leaders by showcasing talent and intellectual property drawn from HarbourView’s extensive portfolio. It will feature panel discussions, live performances, and networking events aimed at facilitating collaboration across marketing, media, entertainment, and sports sectors.
Notable participants include renowned artists and cultural figures such as Chaka Khan, Babyface, Steven Bartlett, Fat Joe, Jadakiss, Finn Askew, Sasha Keable, Elmiene, Floetry, Rob Markman, Eliah Seton, Rob Jonas, and chef Kwame Onwuachi. Additionally, the programme will present "Afrikali Jean Presents Wyclef Jean's Carnival," alongside performances by artists affiliated with HarbourView’s catalogue and investment holdings.
This expanded engagement builds on HarbourView’s inaugural appearance at Cannes Lions in 2023 and aims to highlight the creative assets, intellectual property, and cultural communities represented within its investments. The firm emphasizes stewardship as a principle extending beyond ownership to include creating platforms where creativity and long-term value can thrive.
Sherrese Clarke, Founder, CEO, and Chief Investment Officer of HarbourView Equity Partners, commented, "Creativity is one of the most powerful forces shaping culture and business today. As the worlds of entertainment, technology, media, and finance become increasingly interconnected, Cannes Lions provides an important forum for the leaders driving that evolution."
Clarke further noted, "What makes this year’s programming especially meaningful is the opportunity to bring together those cultural leaders who help define both the HarbourView portfolio and the future of culture. It reflects our belief that stewardship goes beyond ownership - it’s about creating platforms where creativity and long-term value can flourish."
Lucinda Martinez, Chief Marketing Officer at HarbourView Equity Partners, added, "Cannes Lions is a celebration of creativity at its highest level, making it a powerful platform to spotlight the creators, catalogs, and intellectual property across HarbourView’s portfolio."
Martinez emphasized, "Through our programming and conversations, we are showcasing the impact of creative works that continue to resonate with audiences, shape culture, and demonstrate the significance of intellectual property in today’s global entertainment ecosystem."
The three-day programme is produced by Team Epiphany, with Captivate overseeing creative production for the live performances. This strategic presence at Cannes Lions underscores HarbourView’s commitment to leveraging intellectual property and cultural assets to drive innovation and collaboration across multiple sectors.
