Influence Media Partners announced a strategic investment in IPNation, described as the first investment platform exclusively dedicated to Arabic music catalogs and entertainment intellectual property. IPNation aims to raise $100 million to acquire and develop music masters, publishing rights, artist brands, and name, image, and likeness (NIL) rights across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
According to a press release, IPNation plans to transform acquired intellectual property into multi-format entertainment franchises, including immersive experiences, live shows, film, documentaries, merchandise, gaming, licensing, AI-powered derivatives, and next-generation fan engagement.
IPNation was founded by Eddy Maroun, co-founder of Anghami, and Jose Maria Dot, former chief investment officer of Multiply Group (now 2PointZero) and managing director of FTI Capital Advisors. Influence Media Partners, led by founder and co-managing partner Lylette Pizarro McLean, specializes in acquiring and managing music and entertainment IP. Its portfolio includes works by artists such as DJ Khaled, Enrique Iglesias, and Future, supported by strategic partnerships with funds managed by BlackRock.
Ram Kolluri, head of investments and strategic partnerships at Influence Media Partners, stated, “This partnership marks an important step in the evolution of Influence Media. We’ve long believed that premium music IP is a global asset class, and the Middle East represents one of the most exciting opportunities for long-term growth. IPNation combines deep regional expertise with a compelling vision for the future of Arabic music and entertainment IP. Together, we believe we can create lasting value for creators, rights holders, and audiences across the region and beyond.”
Jose Maria Dot, IPNation’s CEO, emphasized the undervalued nature of Arabic music and entertainment IP globally. “IPNation was created to institutionalize investment into iconic and predictable income-generating IP while generating upside through our IPNation Value Creation Playbook, bringing our music to larger audiences efficiently. We believe the Middle East is entering a new era where culture itself becomes a scalable financial asset.”
Eddy Maroun, chairman and chief innovation officer of IPNation, added, “For decades, Arabic music created massive cultural impact but very little long-term ownership value for the region itself. IPNation changes that. We are not only acquiring catalogs; we are building a platform that transforms Arabic IP into global entertainment franchises across music, live experiences, storytelling, gaming, AI, and beyond.”
In a separate development, Live Nation signed an agreement with Czech investment group PPF to acquire a majority stake in three leading venues in Prague: the 20,000-capacity O2 Arena, the 5,000-capacity O2 Universum, and the 4,000-capacity Forum Karlín. The venues will remain accessible to all artists, promoters, and event organizers, with existing management teams retained. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and closing conditions.
Singapore-headquartered live entertainment platform Triangle Group, formerly Creation Collective, raised $15 million in combined equity and venture debt to fund and operate tours across Asia and Australia. The capital raise includes a $10 million equity seed round led by DSG Consumer Partners, with participation from Golden Gate Ventures, the Oberoi Family Office, and various angel investors, alongside a $5 million venture debt facility from Genesis Alternative Ventures.
Roger Field, former president of Live Nation Asia Pacific and CEO of Live Nation Australia & New Zealand, joined Triangle Group as executive director and operating partner after serving as an advisor and investor for a year.
Ticketmaster expanded into Uruguay through the acquisition of RED UTS, a leading local ticketing platform. Ticketmaster’s Uruguay website is now active at www.ticketmaster.uy.
Symphonic announced a partnership with ArtyShield, an AI trust infrastructure platform designed to help artists and rights holders protect their music and voices from unauthorized AI use. Symphonic clients can access ArtyShield’s suite of tools within the “Client Offerings” section of SymphonicMS.
ArtyShield’s MusicShield technology proactively modifies machine-perceived acoustic features in ways imperceptible to human listeners, making tracks more difficult for AI systems to interpret, learn from, or use in training, while preserving the original listening experience. Additional tools include VeriTune, which analyzes recordings to detect AI generation with explainable results; VoiceShield, which protects vocal performances from unauthorized cloning and synthetic speech misuse; and VeriVoice, which identifies AI-generated or cloned voice recordings.
ArtyShield plans to launch ArtyShield Certify, a certification workflow providing verifiable proof that creative works are human-created, supporting licensing, legal, and platform verification needs. Symphonic offers ArtyShield’s services free to clients, with paid tiers planned for additional capabilities. This partnership follows Symphonic’s previous agreements with Sureel AI and SourceAudio and complements its AI-powered Release Campaign Builder for customized marketing strategies.
These developments reflect ongoing investment and innovation in music intellectual property, live entertainment infrastructure, and AI-driven rights protection across multiple global regions.
