Mamata Machinery Secures Indian Patent for Quadra 600 Technology, Strengthening IP Portfolio Amid Operational Challenges

Mamata Machinery Limited has secured a patent from the Indian Patent Office for the technology used in its Quadra 600 machine, a key advancement in the production of 4-up BOPP bags. The patent was officially granted on August 21, 2026, marking the company’s third major intellectual property achievement within the month.

This development reinforces Mamata Machinery’s position in the converting machinery sector, particularly in the flexible packaging segment, where it ranks among the world’s top five players with over 5,400 installations across 80 countries. The Quadra 600 patent strengthens the company’s technology moat by limiting domestic competition in 4-up BOPP bag-making systems.

Earlier in August 2026, the company was granted an Indian patent for its 'Pouch Shuttle Mechanism for Horizontal Form Fill Seal Machine' (HFFS) under Patent No. 599268 on August 14. Subsequently, on August 18, Mamata filed a patent application for its proprietary Die and Screw design that powers its RecTech recyclable film technology.
