Paige Welch Appointed Secretary of Austin Intellectual Property Law Association Board for 2026

Jackson Walker is pleased to announce that Paige Welch has been elected Secretary of the Austin Intellectual Property Law Association (IPLA) board for the year 2026.

The Austin IPLA is a nonprofit professional organization dedicated to individuals with interests in intellectual property law. Its membership includes attorneys specializing in IP, as well as engineers and business professionals engaged with both the legal and commercial facets of intellectual property.

Board members of the Austin IPLA serve five-year terms, advancing through a sequence of officer roles each year. After serving as Secretary in 2026, Welch will progress to Treasurer, then Vice President, President, and ultimately Former President, completing her five-year leadership commitment.

Welch’s legal practice at Jackson Walker focuses on a broad spectrum of intellectual property matters. She handles the preparation and prosecution of patent and trademark applications and is involved in defending and enforcing intellectual property rights.

Prior to joining Jackson Walker, Welch served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Judge Alan D. Albright of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. This experience provided her with valuable insight into federal court proceedings related to intellectual property.

Welch’s election to the Austin IPLA board reflects her commitment to advancing the IP community in Austin and contributing to the professional development of practitioners and stakeholders in the field.

The Austin Intellectual Property Law Association continues to serve as a vital forum for networking, education, and collaboration among IP professionals in the region.

Jackson Walker congratulates Paige Welch on her new leadership role and looks forward to her contributions to the Austin IPLA and the broader intellectual property community.
