Procopio Partner Mindy Morton Honored as 2026 BTI Client Service All-Star for Exceptional Legal Support

Procopio partner Mindy Morton has been distinguished as a 2026 BTI Client Service All-Star by BTI Consulting Group, a prestigious recognition awarded to just 256 attorneys across the United States. Given that the American Bar Association reports approximately 1.37 million lawyers nationwide, Morton’s inclusion places her in an elite group noted for delivering superior client service.

The BTI Client Service All-Stars report is regarded as the definitive benchmark for identifying attorneys who provide exceptional client support. The selection process relies exclusively on unprompted, confidential feedback from clients. BTI conducted over 350 independent interviews with Chief Legal Officers and General Counsel from Fortune 1000 companies and other large organizations. Notably, no law firm submissions or self-nominations are accepted, ensuring the integrity of the recognition.

Based in Procopio’s Silicon Valley office, Morton specializes in intellectual property, data privacy, internet, and healthcare litigation. She advises a broad range of clients, from venture-backed startups to publicly traded companies, on matters involving trade secrets, privacy, copyright, trademark, patent, and complex commercial disputes. Her practice also frequently encompasses intricate commercial litigation related to software contracts, intellectual property licensing, and non-compete agreements.

Clients have praised Morton’s approach; one client told BTI, “Mindy is efficient and smart, and always accessible and pragmatic.” This accolade follows BTI’s earlier recognition of Procopio as part of its 2026 Client Service A-Team.

Morton’s professional accolades extend beyond BTI’s recognition. She has been ranked by WIPR Global Trade Secrets, named to the IAM Patent 1000 for three consecutive years, and honored as the 2025 Woman of the Year by Meritas. Her leadership in trade secrets law is further demonstrated through her role as Vice-Chair of the American Bar Association’s Trade Secrets Committee within the Intellectual Property Section, as well as her membership in the Sedona Conference Working Group 12 on Trade Secrets.

BTI’s 2026 evaluation introduced five new criteria to assess attorneys: the ability to pivot without missing a beat, act at CEO speed, drive business outcomes, stay three steps ahead, and turn obstacles into possibilities. These behaviors define the evolving client service standards and influence which lawyers clients trust most with their highest-stakes matters.

Procopio and its attorneys regularly receive recognition from respected industry authorities, including Chambers, Legal 500, Best Lawyers, Best Law Firms, and Super Lawyers, underscoring the firm’s commitment to excellence.
