Request the US to objectively assess Vietnam in intellectual property protection

It is requested that the US side have an objective and balanced assessment of Vietnam's efforts and achievements in the field of intellectual property protection.

On May 1, answering reporters' questions, requesting to know Vietnam's reaction to the US identification of Vietnam as a "priority foreign country" in the Annual Report on the situation of intellectual property protection and enforcement globally, Vietnamese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang stated clearly:

Over the past time, Vietnam has always made great efforts in protecting intellectual property, including in perfecting the regulatory system, raising people's awareness, strengthening international cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the United States and many other countries; resolutely combating and strictly handling intellectual property violations.

This is both a high priority and a consistent policy of Vietnam to build a healthy, transparent business environment and transform the growth model into science - technology, innovation, and digital transformation as the main driving force.

We request the US to have an objective and balanced assessment of Vietnam's efforts and achievements in the field of intellectual property protection. Vietnam is cooperating very actively and effectively with the US in this field, ready to share information, clarify Vietnam's policies and regulations and believe that the two sides need to continue to coordinate closely to properly handle differences, for the benefit of the two countries and towards building a stable, balanced, and sustainable economic and trade cooperation framework" - Ms. Pham Thu Hang stated clearly.
