Richardson Public Library Hosts Latin Dance, Family Activities, and IP Protection Lecture in November

The Richardson Public Library is presenting a variety of free events this November to engage the community in cultural, educational, and family-oriented activities.

On Saturday, November 22, at 3 p.m., all ages are invited to attend a performance by Alma y Corazon Tejano Ballet Folklorico. The event will take place in the Council Chamber located at 2360 Campbell Creek Blvd., Suite 525. Attendees can experience the vibrant art of Latin American folk dancing in this lively showcase.

The following day, Saturday, November 23, at 4 p.m., the library will host "Encanto" themed activities for children aged 4 and up. Held in the Youth Services Area and Storytime Room, this event offers crafts, games, and music inspired by the Eisemann Center’s upcoming production, "Encanto: The Sing-Along Film Concert." The program is designed to provide a fun and interactive experience for young participants.

Additionally, on Wednesday, November 6, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., the library will hold a free lunchtime lecture titled "Intellectual Property: Protect Your Creations." The session will be conducted by attorney Kandace Walter in the Millwood Creek Room. This presentation aims to educate adults on the fundamentals of intellectual property, including the distinctions between patents, trademarks, and copyrights. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunch to enjoy during the lecture.
