Spire Solutions Partners with CyberX to Enhance Industrial Cybersecurity Across Middle East Critical Infrastructure

Spire Solutions, a leading cybersecurity firm in the Middle East, announced a strategic partnership with CyberX, a company specializing in IIoT and Industrial Control System (ICS) security. This collaboration is focused on enhancing the cybersecurity posture of industrial and critical infrastructure entities throughout the region.

The partnership will be prominently featured at the Cyber Defence Summit held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on February 13th and 14th, where CyberX’s technology will be demonstrated at Spire Solutions’ exhibition stand CDS-B3.

Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and Operational Technology (OT) networks have increasingly become targets for cyber adversaries, as evidenced by recent attacks such as WannaCry, NotPetya, and TRITON. These incidents have underscored the vulnerabilities within these networks, which can lead to severe consequences including costly production downtime, safety hazards, environmental damage, and theft of sensitive intellectual property.

According to Gartner, OT networks have historically been unmanaged from a security and risk perspective. They often feature flat network architectures, a mix of diverse OT protocols, unidentified assets, legacy systems, and devices communicating over unsecured channels.
