Taher Group Partners with Oxentia to Introduce Advanced IP and Patent Training Programs in Kuwait

Taher Group for Training has announced a strategic partnership with Oxentia, a global innovation consultancy that originated from the University of Oxford, to launch specialised training programs focused on Intellectual Property Rights, Patents, and Innovation Commercialisation in Kuwait and the broader region.

This collaboration is designed to bolster Kuwait’s innovation ecosystem by providing internationally benchmarked, practice-driven programs. These initiatives emphasize the protection of intellectual assets and the transformation of research and ideas into commercially viable outcomes.

The training programs will be offered to a diverse audience including government entities, universities, research institutions, entrepreneurs, and corporate innovation teams, aiming to build capacity across sectors.

Dr. Fawaz Khaled Alkhateeb, Managing Partner of Taher Group for Training, described the partnership as a strategic move to cultivate a mature intellectual property and innovation culture within Kuwait. He emphasized the Group’s commitment to transferring global expertise and establishing itself as a regional platform for world-class, impact-driven education.

Kanwal Mackenzie, CEO of Taher Group for Training, highlighted the focus on execution and measurable impact. She noted that the collaboration with Oxentia brings globally proven frameworks into structured, market-ready programs that empower institutions and innovators to confidently progress from ideas to protected and commercialised assets.

Dr. Adel AlKoot, an international trainer and innovation expert involved in the programs, explained that the curriculum covers the full innovation lifecycle. This includes patent strategy and protection, valuation, and market deployment, effectively bridging theoretical knowledge with real-world application.

Anwar Al-Sharhan, Oxentia’s representative in the Middle East, stressed the importance of localising global best practices to support sustainable innovation ecosystems throughout the region.

The launch event was attended by Dr. Steve Cleverley, CEO of Oxentia, who underscored the strategic value of partnering with Taher Group for Training. He noted that this alliance expands Oxentia’s footprint in the Middle East through a strong regional partner.
