UK Intellectual Property and Business Events Calendar Updated with New Workshops and Expos Through 2026

The UK Intellectual Property Office (UK IPO) has refreshed its calendar of business events with a comprehensive lineup of intellectual property (IP) and business-focused activities scheduled throughout 2026. These events aim to support businesses by providing workshops, seminars, and expos that offer insights into IP and its practical applications.

Among the newly added events are The Jewellery Show, scheduled for 2-3 September 2026, and a series of B2B Expos taking place in Portsmouth (17 September), Reading (24 September), Brighton (22 October), Bristol (12 November), Farnborough (19 November), Southampton (26 November), and other locations. Additionally, the Devon Business Show is set for 14 October 2026, while the DTC + UCX London event will occur from 14 to 15 October 2026.

The calendar also highlights The Business Show on 11-12 November 2026 and Digit Expo Edinburgh on 19 November 2026, further broadening opportunities for business engagement across the UK.

Earlier in the year, the UK IPO added events such as the annual International Trademark Association (INTA) meeting in London from 2 to 6 May 2026, and a series of B2B Expos in Farnborough, Reading, Manchester, Southampton, Bristol, Basingstoke, Bracknell, Salisbury, and High Wycombe between April and June 2026.

The UK IPO also offers targeted workshops including the Business & IP Centre’s “Start-up, Start Here” on 3 March 2026, and the IPCG Knowledge Share session on the Small Claims Track scheduled for 19 May 2026. Intellectual Property Masterclass training courses are planned for Leeds (8-9 July 2026), London (16-17 September 2026), and Birmingham (4-5 November 2026). One-day IP workshops will be held in Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Newcastle, and London throughout 2026 and into early 2027.

To facilitate expertise in patent examination, the UK IPO maintains strong training relationships with British universities and organizes technical visits to UK research and development facilities of patent customers. Businesses interested in offering technical visits or talks on innovations are encouraged to contact the UK IPO via phone or email.

The UK IPO also runs a customer visit programme, allowing representatives to meet regularly with customers to share updates on working practices and policies and to collect feedback. Interested parties can join the programme by contacting the UK IPO directly.

For further information on these events or to engage with the UK IPO’s events team, businesses can access a collection of intellectual property guidance, tools, and case studies or reach out via email at Business.Engagement@ipo.gov.uk.

The UK IPO emphasizes the importance of IP knowledge in business growth and innovation, providing continuous support through its diverse event offerings and customer engagement initiatives.
