USPTO Expands TTAB Center Filing Capabilities for Trademark Proceedings

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has announced enhancements to the TTAB Center, its online portal for parties engaged with the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB). These updates expand the range of filing options available to users, aiming to improve the overall filing experience.

In April, the USPTO introduced new functionalities allowing users to submit motions electronically through the TTAB Center. Additionally, parties can now update correspondence addresses and attorney information directly within the platform.

These improvements are part of the USPTO's broader transition from the Electronic Filing System for Trademark Trials and Appeals (ESTTA) to the TTAB Center. The agency has committed to providing ongoing updates and encourages users to stay informed about future developments related to this transition.

To facilitate continuous enhancement of the TTAB Center, the USPTO invites users to submit feedback via the blue feedback button located on the right side of any TTAB Center page. This input is valuable for refining the system and addressing user needs.

The USPTO also advises users experiencing difficulties accessing links in email communications to consult their IT or email administrators. Specifically, they should request that links-1.govdelivery.com and links-2.govdelivery.com be allow-listed to ensure full access to content.

For those interested in receiving regular updates from the USPTO, the agency offers a subscription service accessible at www.uspto.gov/subscribe. Subscribers can manage their email preferences through this portal.

It is important to note that the USPTO sends these notifications from an unmonitored mailbox. For direct contact or inquiries, users are directed to visit www.uspto.gov/about/contacts.

These enhancements reflect the USPTO's dedication to streamlining trademark trial and appeal processes and improving digital services for stakeholders.
