Wegofair Partners with The Wave to Lead Seoul AI Hub’s 2026 AI Transformation Support Program

Wegofair, an AI-driven intellectual property protection solutions provider, announced on Thursday that it will form a consortium with patent law firm The Wave to manage Seoul AI Hub’s "2026 AI transformation (AX) support programme." This programme is spearheaded by Seoul AI Hub’s Industrial AX Innovation Center and aims to foster collaboration between AI technology suppliers and companies seeking AI adoption. The goal is to apply AI solutions to real industrial environments and facilitate their commercialisation and market expansion.

Under this partnership, Wegofair and The Wave intend to tailor Wegofair’s AI-based automated counterfeit detection solution to better serve the operational needs of patent law firms handling intellectual property infringement cases. They plan to conduct proof of concept testing by deploying the solution in actual industrial settings.

Should the collaboration progress to commercialisation, the two companies anticipate establishing a robust framework that enables patent law firms to protect the brand value of domestic corporate clients more swiftly and efficiently. This is particularly significant for industries reliant on intellectual property rights, including fashion, beauty, and content sectors.

Wegofair also aims to leverage the programme to enhance its services specifically optimized for patent and law firms. The company plans to broaden its partnerships and jointly develop new business models with legal professionals.

Jong-myeon Kim, chief executive of Wegofair, emphasized the critical yet repetitive nature of counterfeit response work within patent law firms. He noted that while this work is time-consuming, it is essential for safeguarding corporate brand value. Kim expressed optimism that the Seoul AI Hub AX support programme would enable automation of these tasks through AI, in collaboration with The Wave, thereby fostering an environment where domestic fashion, beauty, and content companies can confidently grow their brands.

This initiative reflects a growing trend of integrating artificial intelligence into intellectual property management and enforcement, aiming to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in protecting corporate assets.
