WIPO Announces Winners of 2025 Global Innovation Awards Across Five Key Sectors

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) has announced the recipients of its 2025 Global Awards, celebrating pioneering companies that harness intellectual property (IP) to create impactful innovations across multiple sectors. This year’s awards spotlight transformative contributions in Health, Environment, Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), Creative Industries, and Agrifood.

Out of 30 finalists selected based on rigorous criteria, ten companies emerged as winners. These criteria included the strength of their business case and current IP portfolio, their future growth prospects and international IP strategy, the cultivation of an IP culture within their organizations, and their positive impact on society.

WIPO congratulates all winners for their remarkable achievements and extends an invitation to benefit from exclusive prize offerings. These include strategic, one-on-one mentoring tailored to commercializing IP assets, encompassing guidance on fundraising and forging commercial partnerships.

Additionally, winners will attend the prestigious Awards Ceremony and associated networking events held in Geneva, with all travel expenses covered by WIPO. This platform provides an opportunity for winners to connect with global IP leaders and potential collaborators.

While ten companies secured the top honors, the remaining 20 finalists also represent exemplary businesses that effectively utilize intellectual property to advance innovative solutions within their industries. Their recognition underscores the broad spectrum of innovation driving global progress.

The 2025 Global Awards reaffirm WIPO’s commitment to celebrating the power of innovation and intellectual property in shaping a better future. By spotlighting these forward-thinking companies, WIPO encourages the continued integration of IP strategies to foster sustainable growth and societal benefit worldwide.
