WIPO Introduces Customized Intellectual Property Toolkit to Empower Slovenian Businesses

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) has unveiled a new intellectual property (IP) toolkit specifically designed to support businesses in Slovenia. This initiative aims to help companies secure their innovative ideas and effectively utilize their IP assets to foster growth and competitiveness.

Available in the Slovenian language and adapted to the country’s legal system and market conditions, the toolkit comprises two main components: an IP diagnostic tool and a guide to IP for startups.

The IP diagnostic tool is an accessible, free online resource that enables innovators and business owners to conduct a self-assessment of their intellectual property assets. Upon completion, users receive a customized report containing recommendations on how to best manage and protect their IP rights.

Complementing this, the guide to IP for startups provides essential advice tailored to early-stage companies. It covers key strategies for safeguarding innovative ideas locally and internationally, including branding techniques, risk mitigation, opportunity maximization, and leveraging IP to attract funding.

These resources are designed to empower Slovenian entrepreneurs and innovators by enhancing their understanding of intellectual property and its strategic value.

The toolkit is hosted on the official website of the Republic of Slovenia, providing easy access for local businesses seeking to strengthen their IP management practices.

WIPO’s initiative reflects a broader commitment to fostering innovation ecosystems by equipping companies with practical tools to navigate the complexities of intellectual property rights.

By offering these tailored resources, WIPO supports Slovenia’s economic development and innovation capacity, helping businesses transform ideas into valuable assets.
