Caldwell Cassady & Curry Secures Top Chambers USA Rankings for Landmark Patent Litigation Victories

The Dallas intellectual property and business law firm Caldwell Cassady & Curry has once again been recognized in the 2026 Chambers USA rankings for its outstanding work in high-stakes patent infringement litigation.

Firm principals Brad Caldwell and Jason Cassady earned individual rankings after successfully representing clients in multiple jury trials and appellate proceedings across Texas and nationwide over the past year. The Chambers USA guide’s annual rankings are determined through a rigorous research process involving peer nominations, casework reviews, and interviews with clients and opposing counsel.

One opposing counsel described Caldwell Cassady & Curry as a "formidable adversary," while clients highlighted the firm’s effectiveness, efficiency, and deep technical understanding. Testimonials emphasized the firm’s "deep experience in IP infringement" and "phenomenal strategic thinking," underscoring its reputation in complex intellectual property disputes.

Brad Caldwell, who received a Band 1 ranking, served as lead counsel on the trial team that secured a $445.5 million patent infringement verdict for Collision Communications against Samsung Electronics earlier this year. This award ranked as the second-largest patent infringement damages verdict in the United States in 2026 and the sixth-largest civil trial verdict overall.

In another significant victory, Caldwell and Cassady helped Texas-based VidStream LLC obtain a final judgment of nearly $173 million against Twitter Inc., now operating as X Corp. The January jury verdict included a finding of willful infringement related to VidStream’s patented technology for simplifying online video sharing.

Jason Cassady also played a pivotal role in securing a favorable ruling for Constellation Designs, LLC before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. The appellate court upheld a willful infringement verdict exceeding $1.68 million against LG Electronics. The Federal Circuit affirmed the entire damages award, validated two of VidStream’s four asserted patents, and confirmed a $6.75 per unit royalty rate for LG’s infringing products.

Caldwell Cassady & Curry specializes in representing companies and individuals in high-stakes civil litigation, including patent infringement, trade secrets, fiduciary duty disputes, class actions, and company-founder conflicts. The firm has a track record of securing some of the nation’s largest verdicts against major global corporations.
