Temas Resources Files New Patent for Vanadium Extraction Using Regenerative Chloride Leach Technology

Temas Resources Corp. (ASX:TIO)(CSE:TMAS)(OTCQB:TMASF)(FSE:26P0) announced on July 8, 2026, that it has initiated the filing of a new process patent focused on the extraction of vanadium from complex ore bodies. The patent application, titled "Chloride-based process for Vanadium extraction," leverages the company’s proprietary Regenerative Chloride Leach (RCL) mixed chloride leaching technology.

The patent filing establishes a priority date of July 8, 2026, securing intellectual property protection for this latest metallurgical innovation developed through Temas’s ongoing research and development efforts. This move represents a significant expansion of Temas’s growing critical minerals technology platform.

This filing follows the recent completion of RCL vanadium metallurgical testwork on material sourced from Temas’s wholly owned La Blache Titanium-Vanadium-Iron Project located in Québec, Canada. The testwork demonstrated the adaptability of the RCL technology across multiple critical minerals, including vanadium.

On June 29, 2026, Temas reported extensive high-grade titanium-vanadium mineralization at La Blache, with vanadium grades reaching up to 0.48% V₂O₅ over broad intervals. These results underpin the substantial vanadium endowment to which the newly patented RCL process can be applied.

The patent application strengthens Temas’s ability to create value from vanadium resources not only from its La Blache and Lac Brûlé assets but also from third-party vanadium ore bodies, concentrates, and mine waste. The company aims to leverage this technology through licensing and processing partnerships.

Temas is actively progressing confidential discussions and third-party laboratory testing with potential processing and licensing partners to advance commercial applications of the RCL vanadium extraction process.

This development adds to Temas’s expanding intellectual property portfolio, which supports future technology licensing opportunities and reinforces the company’s position in the critical minerals sector.

The RCL technology platform, originally developed for titanium and other critical minerals, continues to demonstrate versatility and innovation in metallurgical processing, positioning Temas as a key player in sustainable mineral extraction technologies.

By securing patent protection for this chloride-based vanadium extraction process, Temas aims to capitalize on the growing demand for vanadium, a critical mineral used in steel alloys and emerging energy storage technologies.

The company’s strategic focus on proprietary processing technologies aligns with global trends toward securing critical mineral supply chains and advancing environmentally responsible extraction methods.

Temas Resources Corp. remains headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, and continues to develop its portfolio of critical mineral projects and technologies with a focus on innovation and sustainability.
