Ex-MrBeast Employee Seeks Dismissal of Trade Secrets and Breach Lawsuit

By Editorial Team

An ex-employee of YouTube sensation MrBeast, Leroy Nabors, has requested a federal judge to dismiss a trade secrets lawsuit alleging he took thousands of confidential business documents. Nabors, who worked as an IT consultant in 2023 and later as a member of MrBeast's development team in 2024, argued that his former employer has not proven that the files in his possession constitute trade secrets or that he obtained them to compete with the company.

The motion to dismiss was filed on June 13 in the US District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina. MrBeast, widely recognized for his popular videos featuring large-scale challenges and a massive YouTube following, has accused Nabors of taking 'highly sensitive' investor information.

Nabors has maintained that he has cooperated in returning all devices and documents to MrBeast. The legal battle between the former employee and the YouTube star continues to unfold as the court considers Nabors' motion to dismiss the trade secrets and breach of contract lawsuit.
