By Editorial Team

London-listed IP Group, a prominent investor specializing in clean technologies and life sciences, has announced the launch of a $50 million fund in collaboration with the Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC), the federal government's green bank.

The Climate Catalyst Fund, as it is named, has received a significant boost with IP Group contributing $30 million towards the fund, while the CEFC has made a $20 million cornerstone commitment to the first close of the fund. The partnership aims to attract additional investors to further support clean energy initiatives.

Sarah Thompson, Kanika Sood, and Emma Rapaport reported on this development for Street Talk. Sarah Thompson, who has co-edited Street Talk since 2009, specializes in private equity, investment banking, M&A, and equity capital markets stories. Kanika Sood, a journalist based in Sydney, regularly contributes to the Street Talk column. This collaboration between IP Group and the CEFC underscores the growing importance of sustainable investments and clean energy initiatives in the financial sector. The Climate Catalyst Fund is expected to play a vital role in supporting innovative projects that contribute to environmental sustainability and combat climate change.
