The collaboration with KIPO—a globally recognized leader in IP administration—will help streamline procedures, reduce processing time for patent and trademark applications, and enhance examiner expertise.

Through this initiative, both agencies will explore the implementation of advanced IP tools and technologies, including AI-assisted patent classification and blockchain-based rights management systems. The strategic pact also envisions increased data sharing and joint studies to address global IP challenges, particularly in emerging sectors such as green technologies, artificial intelligence, and digital content.

Capacity Building and Innovation Support

A major component of the partnership involves technical assistance and capacity-building programs designed to train IP professionals, examiners, and stakeholders. These training initiatives will focus on global best practices in patent search and examination, trademark protection, and enforcement mechanisms.
