Dar AlMuhama Law Firm Elevates Kuwaiti IP Expertise at INTA 2026 in London

Dar AlMuhama Law Firm marked a significant milestone in its international engagement by participating in the 2026 Annual Meeting of the International Trademark Association (INTA), held in London from May 2 to 6. Represented by its Founder and Managing Partner, Attorney Abdulrahman Alhouti, the firm joined over 10,000 professionals and experts from more than 140 countries at the largest global gathering dedicated to intellectual property.

A central highlight of the firm’s involvement was Attorney Alhouti’s active participation in a high-level panel on May 5 titled “Advancing Intellectual Property Frameworks in the Middle East: Challenges and Solutions.” Moderated by UAE-based legal consultant Huda Barakat, the session convened prominent regional IP authorities, including H.E. Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Muaini, Assistant Undersecretary for the Intellectual Property Sector at the UAE Ministry of Economy; H.E. Prof. Dr. Hisham Azmi, Chairman of the Egyptian Intellectual Property Authority (EIPA); and Mr. Turki M. Bin Salamah from the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP).

The panel focused on regional efforts to develop integrated and robust intellectual property protection systems across the Middle East, addressing shared challenges and exploring collaborative solutions to enhance IP enforcement and innovation incentives.

On the sidelines of the conference, Attorney Abdulrahman Alhouti emphasized that Dar AlMuhama’s participation aims to transfer global best practices to Kuwait’s legal market. He highlighted the importance of aligning with the region’s ongoing legislative advancements, particularly in areas such as the impact of artificial intelligence on intellectual property rights, trademark protection in the digital era, and arbitration mechanisms for IP disputes.

“These topics are at the core of modern legal practice and resonate strongly with Kuwait’s forward-looking development vision,” Alhouti stated, underscoring the firm’s commitment to staying abreast of evolving IP challenges.

Beyond panel discussions, the conference provided Dar AlMuhama Law Firm with valuable opportunities to engage in bilateral meetings with leading international law firms and global IP organizations. These strategic interactions aim to enhance the firm’s service offerings and contribute to the broader development of the intellectual property sector within Kuwait and the wider Middle East region.

Dar AlMuhama’s active role at INTA 2026 reflects its dedication to building a strong international network and exchanging expertise with top professionals in the IP field. This engagement ultimately seeks to elevate the quality of legal services provided to clients in trademarks, patents, copyrights, and other intellectual property domains.

The firm’s presence at this premier international event underscores Kuwait’s growing prominence in the global intellectual property arena and signals a proactive approach to addressing emerging IP issues in a rapidly changing technological landscape.
