By Editorial Team

A case brought by Pornhub's owner seeking a declaration that it did not infringe three of Dish Technologies LLC's patents could likely be litigated more conveniently in Utah, a Delaware federal judge has said in transferring the suit.

The case involves patents owned by Dish Technologies LLC, including:

  • 10,469,555 - Apparatus, system, and method for multi-bitrate content streaming
  • 10,757,156 - Apparatus, system, and method for adaptive-rate shifting of streaming content
  • 11,470,138 - Apparatus, system, and method for multi-bitrate content streaming

The law firms involved in the case include Ashby & Geddes, Richards Layton, and Venable LLP.

The case was initially filed in Delaware but is being transferred to Utah for the convenience of witnesses. The judge overseeing the case is Gregory B. Williams.
