Contour IP Holding LLC accused GoPro Inc. of infringing on their patented video camera technology. The counsel for Contour argued that GoPro should be held liable for $174 million in damages for the infringement.
However, GoPro's attorney defended the company by claiming that they were the original creators of the technology in question and did not infringe on Contour's patents.
The case is being heard in a California federal court, where both parties presented their closing arguments to the jury. The outcome of the trial will determine whether GoPro will be required to pay damages to Contour for the alleged infringement.
