By Editorial Team
A recent ruling by a U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) judge has determined that China-based chipmaker Innoscience has infringed on a patent owned by semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies. The patent in question is related to gallium nitride technology products.
In response to the ruling, Innoscience has stated that this finding does not prevent them from continuing to sell their gallium nitride technology products.
Infineon Technologies AG is represented by law firms Finnegan and Wolf Greenfield in this case. The dispute is being adjudicated at the ITC and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
The two patents involved in the case are:
- 9,899,481 - Electronic component and switch circuit
- 9,070,755 - Transistor having elevated drain finger termination
This ruling highlights the ongoing legal battles in the semiconductor industry and the importance of protecting intellectual property rights in the competitive market.
