Samsung Accused Of Infringing Security Patents In EDTX

A Wyoming-based patent owner has filed a lawsuit against Samsung in a Texas federal court, alleging that the South Korean electronics giant's security platform infringes on two patents related to data protection.

The lawsuit, which was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, accuses Samsung of infringing on patents numbered 11,095,613 and 11,640,546. The first patent pertains to a system of smart edge sensors, while the second patent involves managing access to data and operations performed by applications.

The legal action was initiated by the law firm Miller Fair on behalf of the Wyoming-based patent owner. The case details, including the judge assigned and the nature of the suit, have not been disclosed to the public.

As of now, Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. has been named as the defendant in the lawsuit. The case is expected to unfold in the coming weeks as both parties present their arguments and evidence.
