Samsung Accused Of Infringing Security Patents In EDTX

By Editorial Team

A Wyoming-based patent owner has filed a lawsuit against Samsung in a Texas federal court, alleging that the South Korean electronics giant's security platform is infringing on two patents related to data protection.

The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, accuses Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. of infringing on the following patents:

  • Patent 11,095,613 - System of smart edge sensors
  • Patent 11,640,546 - Managing access to data and managing operations performed by applications

The complaint was filed by the law firm Miller Fair on behalf of the Wyoming-based patent owner. The lawsuit alleges that Samsung's security platform violates the patented technologies designed to protect data and manage access to data and operations performed by applications.

As the case unfolds in the Eastern District of Texas, both parties are expected to present their arguments and evidence related to the alleged patent infringement. Samsung will likely defend its security platform against the claims made by the patent owner.

This legal battle highlights the ongoing importance of protecting intellectual property rights in the technology sector and the potential legal consequences for companies found infringing on patented technologies.
